Steps to Sideload and Use Google Chrome on Firestick

Google Chrome is a browser that’s built for people’s convenience to use. Chrome was introduced in the year of 2008. Chrome can be directly loaded on Android phones and tablets, iOS, Mac, Windows Desktop, Linux,  Chromebook.

There is no specific Chrome browser app available for Firestick. But you can sideload the Chrome browser on your Firestick.

Using Downloader App to Install Chrome

Prepare Your Firestick for Installation

  • On your Firestick, go to Settings from the home screen.
  • Select My Fire TV (or Device) > Developer Options.
  • Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources and ADB Debugging. This allows you to install apps that aren’t from the Amazon Appstore.

Install the Downloader App

  • Go back to the home screen and search for the Downloader app in the search bar.
  • Download and install the Downloader app. This app allows you to download files directly to your Firestick.

Download the Chrome APK

  • Open the Downloader app.
  • In the URL field, enter the download link for the Chrome APK. You can find the APK by searching for “Chrome APK for Firestick” on a web browser. Make sure to get the latest version from a reliable source.
  • After entering the link, click Go. The Downloader app will start downloading the Chrome APK file.

Install Chrome

  • Once the APK file is downloaded, you’ll be prompted to install it. Click Install.
  • After installation is complete, click Done to finish.

Launch Chrome

  • Once Chrome is installed, go to Your Apps & Channels on your Firestick home screen.
  • Find Chrome in the list of apps and select it to open the browser.
