Steps to Watch ESPN+ on Apple TV

The ESPN+ service is a subscription-based streaming service that’s included as an add-on service with the ESPN app. The ESPN+ service was rolled out on April 12, 2018. Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution is the parent organization of the ESPN+ service.

The ESPN+ service allows people to stream UFC, MLB, NHL, Soccer, Tennis, Cricket, and much more. The ESPN+ service can be accessed with a subscription plan. You don’t need to subscribe to the ESPN app, but you need an ESPN account to stream the ESPN+ service.

Check Compatibility

Before proceeding, ensure that you have a compatible Apple TV model. ESPN Plus works on

  • Apple TV HD (4th generation)
  • Apple TV 4K (5th generation or later)

If you have an older Apple TV (3rd generation or earlier), you won’t be able to install the ESPN app directly, but you can use AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad.

Download the ESPN App

  • Turn on your Apple TV and connect it to the internet.
  • Open the App Store from the home screen.
  • Use the search function to find ESPN.
