Steps to Install Kodi on Philips Smart TV
Kodi is a service that’s available for users for multiple purposes. Kodi is the service for all the entertainment services like audio, video, streaming, and much more.
It supports most of the multimedia formats, gives access to numerous Add-ons, acts as an App Launcher, gives you access to stream live, allows you to customize yourself, allows you to access local content on your device, and much more.
Kodi is supported with Philips Android TV but not with Philips Roku TV.
Philips Android TV
- Prefer your access to the Apps section on your Philips Android TV.
- Make your selection on the Google Play Store.
- Then browse to get Kodi.
- Now make your selection on Kodi when you find it.
- Then click on Install on your Philips Android TV to download the Kodi app.
- Finish the initial setup of Kodi on your Philips Android TV and start using it.
Philips Roku TV
Unfortunately, the Kodi app is not available for Philips Roku TV.
- Load the Kodi app on your Android or iOS and finish the initial setup.
Do any of the following on your Philips Roku TV.
- Enable the Prompt option of the Screen Mirroring Mode option on your Philips Roku TV if you’re using an Android phone.
- If you’re using your iOS, then turn on the Airplay feature under the Airplay & HomeKit settings section on Philips Roku TV.
- Then allow your Android or iOS and Philips Roku TV to connect to the same Wi-Fi.
- Now get access to the Quick Panel on your Android and make a click on Screen Casting. Or make a click on Screen Mirroring on your iOS after accessing the Control Centre.
- You may receive a prompt for allowing the device to mirror. If so, click on Accept on your Philips Roku TV.
- Your Android or iOS screen is mirroring on your Philips Roku TV. Open Kodi on your Android or iOS and it’ll be displayed on your Philips Roku TV.
